Thank you for visiting Dayton Dog Trainer, for your dog obedience and advanced training needs. Please read the following before shopping our online shopping center or retaining our dog training services.
Please read our TERMS OF SERVICE carefully, by using this website you agree to these Terms of Service.
Welcome to Dayton Dog Trainer, these Terms of Service may be changed in the future without further notice. Your continued use of the Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service. Further, these Terms of Service apply exclusively to your access to, and use of, the Site and are in addition to the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with Dayton Dog Trainer, for products, services or otherwise.
TRAINING CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULING
Weather – DDT will always try to work around your schedule for scheduling training. Sometimes, it is not always possible to give you an exact day or time. Dayton Dog Trainer does not perform scheduled training for the following issues …
- If the temperature outside is 90° or higher … or if the “feels like” temperature is 90° or higher.
- If the temperature outside is 40° or below … or if the “feels like” temperature is 40° or below.
- If it is raining outside or if rain is scheduled to fall within 3 hours of your scheduled time.
All weather activity and forecasts are retained by weather.com. It does not matter what other weather forecasters are showing, as we need to stay consistent and follow only a single forecaster. The “Feels Like” temperature is a temperature provided by weather.com that advises what the temperature outside actually feels like.
You must realize that dogs are wearing a fur coat and that they can overheat faster than us, but do not have the capability to advise they are hot or overheating. In hot weather, your dog is only good for about 10 minutes, before they start to shutdown.
DDT will not always contact you to cancel your session, if it is obvious that the weather is playing a role in the cancellation of your scheduled session. If our client becomes upset due to the cancellation of a scheduled training session due to the weather and wants to cancel training and asks for a refund … we apologize, but this is not grounds for a refund, as we are unable to control the weather.
No Call / No Show – DDT understands that life doesn’t always go as planned or scheduled. Should you need to cancel, simply give us a call, leave us a message or send us an email at least 3 hours before your scheduled time. We understand that sometimes providing a 3 hour notice isn’t always possible, we just ask that you try. Should we arrive at your home for scheduled training and you are not available for training, your time will be lost, unless advising us was truly not possible, which will be determined by the trainer … no exceptions on the trainers determination. DDT does allow you a single waiver on your first no call or no show, because we understand things happen that can prevent you from notifying us, but we are unable to provide more than 1 as we run a tight/busy schedule and showing up to your location, does cost us money.
DDT Cancellations – Sometimes our trainers may have to cancel your scheduled training. We too are only human and have things that may arise which will cause us to have to cancel. We too will show you the same respect and always try to contact you at least 3 hours before our scheduled training session, if it is possible. If we have to cancel due to a trainer being sick, a family emergency, a training emergency or any other issue that may arise that would prevent us from getting to your scheduled session, this is still not grounds for a refund. We too get a first time waiver, as life doesn’t always go as planned. We are only asking that you work with us, as we will work with you. You will never lose your time that has been paid for, should the cancellation be due to an issue on our end.
ORDERING – Dayton Dog Trainer offers a shopping cart system for easy ordering of Dog Training Equipment and other Dog Training Products. If you have questions or concerns pertaining to one or more of our products, please contact us first before placing your order. This could include questions about brands, types, sizes, weights, quantity, pack size, box size, color, availability, etc. Because we carry hundreds of dog training equipment, tools, books, supplies and various other equipment, our default quantity for all items will show quantity 1000 in stock. Although we do try to keep all items up to date, it is sometimes impossible to do so and we would suggest you contact us, should you have any concerns. You may also have questions about pack size, quantities or box size. We do carry several items with a minimum purchase quantity. If an item shows a pack size of 5, then 5 will be the minimum amount you can purchase of that specific item and the price will be multiplied by (5) five. Some items may advise you only need to purchase (1) one, to receive the pack size shown on that specific item. Be sure to contact us before ordering, should you have any questions. Your price will also help to reflect the quantities you are ordering.
EVALUATIONS – Dayton Dog Trainer is unable to evaluate your dog, over the phone. All evaluations are done at your home or at one of our local parks or an agreed upon location. Dayton Dog Trainer prefers to conduct all evaluations at the location where the dog resides. Dayton Dog Trainer does not have one set price for evaluations, as location is a factor in the pricing. Along with location, the type of evaluation we are asked to conduct, also comes into factor. Performing an evaluation for certain breeds as well as aggression, behavioral or working qualification can also affect the pricing of the evaluation.
REFUNDS – Should Dayton Dog Trainer be retained for dog training services, all payments are due at the time of our training agreement. We no longer accept credit card payments for training services due to the fact we can not take back training performed on your dog, should you forgot that you needed the money for something else and are unable to pay. If you are using our online store or purchase physical items in person such as equipment, we will refund your money as long as the equipment is returned in the same condition as it was recieved. Some items may be subject to a 25% restocking fee, should we inherit the same charge from our supplier. Dog Food also comes with a satisfaction guarantee and can be returned as long as 95% of the food remains. This guarantee is covered by our suppliers and should be just a short process to recieve your refund, once the refund is approved by our food supplier. You will recieve your refund, in the same manner as in which you initially paid. DDT only issues refunds once a month, normally near the end of the month to allow us to keep our accounting structured and consistent.
- All dog training equipment must be returned within 10 days, in the same condition in which it was recieved if you wish to recieve a refund. The return must also be accompanied with customers receipt and invoice as well as a return authorization code. A return authorization code can be obtained by calling our customer service department at (937) 314-1364, before the purchased items are returned to us. Returned items will not be accepted without a return authorization code, which can be retained by contacting DDT, before you attempt your return.
- All refunds will be paid back, in the same manner in which the item was paid.
- Training Cancellations – We do not offer refunds on scheduled training due to the fact we have scheduled out time, that another potential client could have scheduled for. Understand, that if we refunded training, we would not only be out money for your training, but chances are, we have passed on another client because our schedule was full and we would have lost that income as well. This is most evident, during tax season … our busiest time of the year. Be sure you are able to commit to the time it takes to train and the money paid out, before retaining our services.
- Once Payment is received for training, you have 90 days to start the training. If training is not scheduled to begin in that 90 days, all paid training will be cancelled and you will lose the money and the training time for which you have paid.
- A 25% restocking fee may be charged, should Dayton Dog Trainer inherit the same charge from one of our dog training equipment suppliers.
- All custom manufactured items, such as custom dog leads / leashes, collars, harnesses, muzzles or any other custom made leather product, can not be returned for a refund. These items cannot be returned for any reason … non-negotiable.
- We cannot accept returns of items that show signs of wear or any signs of use.
- Customer must pay for return shipping, unless the return is due to an error on Dayton Dog Trainer‘s behalf. If Dayton Dog Trainer is found to be at fault, we will pay for all shipping charges to correct the issue(s).
- Items returned to us which are deemed un-returnable, will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
- Certain restrictions apply. Extra fees may apply for testing and evaluation to determine whether an item may be returned.
- By placing an order with us, you agree to this user agreement.
- By placing an order with us online through our online ordering system, Google Checkout, EBay, Craigslist, Backpage, Google Classifieds, forums, blog’s or any other service which carries, distributes or retails product obtained through Dayton Dog Trainer, or an order placed over the phone, you agree to this Dayton Dog Trainer user agreement.
SHIPPING – We are proud to offer fast and cost efficient shipping service to our customers. Utilizing UPS Ground and FedEx Ground, as well as common freight carriers who will deliver your order to your business with the greatest efficiency and the highest quality of service in the industry.
All orders placed are normally shipped within 2 to 7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), depending on product availablity and shipping and recieveing workload. You will normally receive your order in 3-10 business days once the order is placed. We reserve the right to charge our customers the extra cost for shipping set by any shipping or freight delivery services, used to ship your purchase. Dayton Dog Trainer and its affiliates, partners and dealers will always try to use the most cost efficient shippers or freight services, but we will never attempt to save a few dollars by going with an unauthorized private shipping company. We will only use approved United States qualified, licensed and insured shipping / freight companies such as Fed-Ex, USPS, Yellow, R&L, Pitt Ohio, Vitran, Roadway, USF.
TRAINING REFUNDS – Dayton Dog Trainer does not provide refunds on any training. Our reasoning behind this is simply put … Due to our congested training schedule, we are taking time out of our schedule, that another potential client could have used. Many times, we have to put off the training needs of another potential client or postpone their training. This is most evident during certain periods throughout the year. Tax season, around Christmas and most of the summer, we are completely booked and are running up to a few weeks behind. Many times, we have potential clients that are unable to postpone or delay training and will have to find another trainer because they are unable to wait. Even though we do not refund training, you will always have the training time you have paid for.
If you decide you need to hold off on training, we guarentee to be able to schedule you within 2 weeks when you are ready to start your training. Be sure you are able to afford the training before you sign up. Be sure you have time to train, before you sign up. Be sure that training with Dayton Dog Trainer is truly what you are wanting, before you sign. This is another reason we demonstrate our training, before you sign up, pay and schedule your training. We do not refund training, because of clients becoming upset due to the weather playing a role in the cancellation of your training. This is an act of God and we are unable to do anything about the weather. However, you will not lose your time, should your cancellation be due to the weather … you will simply be rescheduled to the following week, on the same day or time. If you sign-up for training and need to postpone your start date, we allow up to 90 days postponement, before your training is cancelled out. Once Payment is received for training, you have 90 days to start the training. If training is not scheduled to begin in that 90 days, all paid training will be cancelled and you will lose the money and the training time for which you have paid. If you begin training and have to postpone any remaining training time left, you have 90 days to start the training back up, or you will lose the remaining amount of training time you have left. There will be no refunds for any amount of training time that was cancelled out.
WARRANTY – Dayton Dog Trainer or the equipment manufacturers do not compensate for loss of product / sales. New equipment comes only with the manufacturer’s warranty which varies from item to item. Please contact our sales team with any questions. All products that Dayton Dog Trainer offers are covered under the manufacturers warranty and not by Dayton Dog Trainer. All dog foods offered, does come with a satisfaction guarantee and can be returned as long as 95% of the food remains. Our dog training services are also warranted. Should you retain our basic obedience dog training, we warrant that the dog being trained will understand all basic commands and will be demonstrated by one of our handlers. We cannot warrant that the owner / handler of the dog will be able to perform the instruction given by the trainer. We will make every effort to train the owner / handler as well as the dog, but cannot guarantee that the owner / handler is compitant enough to learn the instruction or in the proper physical condition to be able to perform such commands.
Before our training is complete on our basic obedience lessons, Dayton Dog Trainer will be able to demonstrate that the dog has learned the commands in which we have trained. We as dog trainers cannot work miracles and cannot make dogs do everything the owner / handler wants it to do. Basic obedience commands are somewhat standard from trainer to trainer and normally consist of sit, stay, down, come, no. Sometimes Dayton Dog Trainer is able to provide more commands if there is enough time left over after the basics have been taught, but we do not guarantee anything more than the basic commands.
PAYMENT PROCESSING – Dayton Dog Trainer no longer accepts credit card payments or payments by check unless pre-authorized due to too many cases of “lack of funds” or unavailable funds. From time to time, we also recieve clients that decide they overspent and sometimes decide to cancel payment, due to no fault of Dayton Dog Trainer. We do accept payment via cash, money order or bank certified check, unless pre-authorized by Dayton Dog Trainer or prior payment arrangements have been made. Payment is due at the time of our services have been retained and must be paid in full. Remember … we cannot take back our training if you should decide not to pay. You will recieve a reciept of payment. Once payment is made, we offer no refund on payments made for dog training services. We do not offer refunds for shceduled training … due to the fact we could have had to pass on another clients training needs because our schedule is full. We do not offer refunds for time left over, once the dog is trained … instead, we offer refresher training for those who wish us to come back at a later date.
