REAL TRAINING WITH REAL RESULTS
There are many other dog training companies in the Dayton area, but most are doing the same old “one size fits all” type training. You know the type … load your dog up, drive across town, walk into the back of a store or warehouse, walk around in circles with 9 other people and dogs … and throw treats at the dog. What a joke! This type of training, uses a single curriculum, that’s supposed to work on every dog.
Every dog is different and every dog has a different learning capability, a different response to training and a different reaction to the other dogs and people. You also have to consider that dogs don’t live in a warehouse and they don’t live in the back of a store. They live in a home!
When DDT provides our dog training services, we provide our services in home, because dogs live in a home. There is so much more to owning a dog than just sits, stay, down and walking on a leash, which is why we train your dog in a natural home environment, in an environment that is closer to their living environment. By training in home, we get to work on the things that happen in the real world. This could include the pizza guy / gal coming to the door, the mailman coming to the door, kids running in and out, etc, etc.
When you compare the two styles of training … you will see that dDT provides Real Training with Real Results!
You will find that many other “trainers” will have you sign-up for courses ranging from 1 to 6 months … even longer. We have a hard time understanding, why it takes so long to implement basic dog obedience commands. You may also see that others believe that basic obedience is simply sit, stay, down and walking on a leash. They’re right … that is basic … but we consider basic obedience to be all of that, as well as House Manners.
- Bombarding Guests at the Door
- Getting on Furniture
- Getting into Trash
- Excessive Barking
- Bolting out the Door
- Counter Surfing
- Stealing Food from Children
- Chewing Furniture or Child Toys or anything else they can get ahold of
- Much More!!
Dayton Dog trainer is an in home dog training service. We provide all our obedience services in your home. All of our trainers are trained exactly the same and undergo an in-depth background check. We would never allow anyone with a shady past, into your home, if they are employed by us.
Training Cancelled, Due to Rain
Dayton Dog Trainer does not train when it rains. To clarify this … Dayton Dog Trainer goes by the forecast, issued by weather.com. If the forecast shows rain within 3 hours of your scheduled training for your area code, then training will be cancelled. You do not lose this time, as you will resume training, on the following week. If training is cancelled due to this rule and it doesn’t end up raining, then we apologize, but we can only go by the forecast put out by weather.com, which is a nationally recognized weather forecasting firm.
Training Cancelled, Due to Heat
Dayton Dog Trainer will not train if the temperature is forecast by weather.com, to be 90° or higher. At 90 degrees or higher, it becomes unsafe for your dog and possibly you, to train in this kind of heat. Remember, your dog is wearing a fur coat! At 90 and above, your dog is only good for about 10 minutes, before they start to lose complete interest. At this temperature, you will probably lose interest after about 10 minutes. If training is cancelled due to heat and the temperature doesn’t actually hit 90°, then we apologize … but we can only go off of the forecast issued by weather.com.
Also … weather.com issues what is called a “feels like” temperature. If this temperature is forecast to be 90° or higher, we will not train. Whether the actual temperature is 90 or higher … obviously the “feels like” temperature says, it is 90 degrees or higher. Either way … it is not safe for dog or human!
Training Cancelled, Due to Cold
Dayton Dog Trainer does not train when the temperature is forecast to be 35° or below, by weather.com. At 35 degrees or below, it could be unsafe due to sickness, ice or a number of other elements. If the temperature is forecast to be below 35°, but the temperature doesn’t actually hit 35 … we apologize. We can only go from the temperature that is forecast by weather.com, which is a nationally recognized weather firm. You do not lose your time, should we have to cancel due to weather. Instead, we will simply resume training, the following week, should the temperature allow us to do so.
Should you need to Cancel
No Problem … Simply attempt to provide us a reasonable amount of notice, so we do not waste time showing up to your home or business for training. Dayton Dog Trainer allows up to 3 cancellations, before we will assume you are not serious about training and your course will be cancelled, without refund. This rule will remain active, unless otherwise discussed with your trainer and approved. We understand that life happens, and things don’t always go as planned … so all we ask, is that you make a reasonable effort to notify us of an exigent circumstance that prohibits you from training. Otherwise, as stated above, we will assume you are done with your training needs and will close out your account, without refund.
